Richie joined Gael Energy as HSEQ Manager in July 2026, bringing a diverse background spanning construction, engineering, agriculture, education and renewable energy. After achieving his childhood dream of becoming a professional footballer in 2002, he later transitioned into health and safety, working on major projects across Europe, Malaysia and Angola before holding senior health and safety roles with Inverness College UHI, NFU Risk Management Services and the Tanera Project.

Outside work, Richie is a keen golfer and enjoys spending time with his family. He also coaches his two young sons, in the hope that one day they make it big in football and allow him to retire to a beach somewhere much warmer than the Scottish Highlands.
