Gregory Stewart
Wind Turbine Engineer

I graduated from Peterhead Academy in 2011. From there, I started my career as a trainee agriculture mechanic, then moved into the oil and gas industry, doing lifting inspections and carrying out certification on onshore and offshore equipment.

In 2020, I began working as an electrical fitter for Gray and Adams, rewiring refrigerator trailers and testing wiring circuits. Then in 2021, I was accepted into a training program to become a smart meter engineer. I attended a training college in Glasgow, where I became Gas Safe registered and MoCoPA certified to install smart meters for both domestic and commercial properties, including single-phase and three-phase systems, on behalf of Scottish Power and EDF, all over Scotland.

In 2023, I began my journey in the wind industry, starting at Gael Energy. As a lead engineer at the Newburgh workshop, my day-to-day tasks include carrying out services on all sizes of C&F turbines and fully refurbishing C&F turbine heads in the workshop. I also go onsite to perform services all over the UK.

In my spare time, I have a passion for vintage machinery. I restore stationary engines and tractors in my own workshop.
