Ben began his professional journey at the age of sixteen, diving into the world of mechanics with a Light Vehicle Mechanic apprenticeship. This foundational experience paved the way for him to specialise as a Plant and Heavy Goods Mechanic, accumulating six years of hands-on expertise.

Seeking a change of pace, Ben took a two-year hiatus from the trade to travel the world, during which he took on various engineering roles in New Zealand, Australia, USA and SE Asia. Upon his return to the UK, he lent his skills to Volvo Truck and Bus before finding his current position at Gael Energy in 2021.

As a Lead Tech Engineer based in Evanton, Ben's days are anything but monotonous. His responsibilities span from general servicing to major repairs and overhauls, covering a vast territory from Thurso to Cornwall.

Outside of work, Ben loves a hands-on project - as well as repairing motorbikes and Land Rovers, he delves into house renovations with his partner.
