Gael Energy Secures First Major Onshore Wind Component Framework and Begins Work on Highland Turbine

31st July, 2025

Having clinched our first major onshore wind component framework agreement, Gael Energy is keeping the blades turning by delivering the first job for the client: a blade bearing exchange on a Vestas turbine located north of Alness in the Scottish Highlands.

The four-year agreement, which spans the whole of Scotland, will see us provide maintenance, repair and installation services for major components such as blades, gearboxes and generators across the client’s fleet of Siemens and Vestas wind turbines.

“This is another major milestone for Gael Energy and we are looking forward to working with the client now, and in the years to come. It’s a new client for us too, so we’ve been added to their framework based on our strong track record in the O&M field. It’s a real endorsement of the team!” — Managing Director, Hamish Campbell
