Gael Energy Ltd are currently looking for two Trainee Wind Turbine Engineers to join their busy team. This roles are based at our Mintlaw, Peterhead workshop and will involve nationwide travel. The successful applicant should have a passion for engineering and be keen to learn new skills from an experienced team.

The role involves the following:

  • Involved in routine preventative maintenance on various models of wind turbines.
  • Working on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • Attend emergency breakdowns across Scotland and some parts of England and Wales.
  • Unscheduled maintenance, retrofits and major component exchanges
  • Completion of relevant industry documentation
  • Compliance with strict Health & Safety regulations
  • Working at Heights
  • Working in adverse weather conditions

Experience required & attributes:

  • Mechanical, Hydraulic, and electrical background (ideally 3 years minimum)
  • GWO courses preferably, but not essential
  • Valid clean driving license
  • HGV preferably, but not essential
  • Good communication skills
  • Works well within a team and independently
  • Compliant with HSE policies and procedures
